Is Summer's Gone Patreon censored?

I keep seeing "roomies" and it annoys me because I don't know if that's the intended word or not. If so, is there a patch that works? I did see one with the warning "DISCONTINUED! DOESN'T WORK AND WILL LEAD TO ERRORS!" So... I figure I shouldn't try to install it. But it's existence implies that it is indeed Patreon censored so I'm not sure how to proceed here
