Taking the Game Slow
This game is a gem. Had my 1st playthrough last February and got bored of it, only got about 20% of completion of story mode, (btw I did treasures hunting mostly and the map is nearly 100% discovered) then I left it hanging. Imagine the hours I put through, still it didn't give me the excitement the same as RDR2. Tought the game was too bland, repetitive and had poor voice actors. Man, coming from RDR2 is a curse and a blessing at the same time.
Then I gave it another shot just last week and doing it from the start. Just did main quests and avoided sides. Only doing treasure hunts when it's relevant. Just playing it at a slow phase, literally. Like listening to stories and the songs before raiding, riding my horse through roads unlike before, I treated my horse as a boat. Walking on open fields, appreciating the views. Man it gave me chills specially the background music when free roaming which I didn't appreciate before. Now I'm not even looking up of what my progression is, I'm just hoping that it doesn't end soon because I'm just starting to love this game. Ivarr was my first favorite character til last night, I just finished battling with Ivarr and man that was a sick plot twist. Poor Ceolbert, he was a decent character. But this made me more wanted to play the game.
For addition, playing with one Eivor makes it more intact with the character. I play the male Eivor.
AC Valhalla now has a place in my heart and I'm not even yet finished. (Bought all DLCs and gonna save it after the main campaign)
