ACL Prevention
Hey legends
I am a 3 x ACL rupture survivor, with an extra 2 arthroscopes to go on top. Most likely looking at a full knee replacement in my future but currently keeping that a bay with everything I’ve learned over the past 17 years as a coach and Myotherapist.
I’ve only been following this thread for a few weeks now and have so much empathy for all the stories being shared. Tearing my ACL at 22 years old was the most devastating thing that has ever happened to me and then having to retire from the sport I love at 26 was gut wrenching.
This is when I became a Myotherapist to dive deeper on the why the fuck this happened to me!
I am currently in the process of building out an ACL Prevention Playbook as I am sick of all the stats continuing to rise every year. So I would love to get some insights on some emotions and feelings around the fears of tearing your ACL.
Was this a fear that ever crossed your mind before tearing the ACL or had you, like me, never heard of the ACL before you tore it?
🤙🏼
