Dealing with a disconnected wheel mid race

Hey there

I guess I am not the only person this is happening too: When I start ACC my wheel (Moza R9 + GS GT) has to be connected and on already. If I connect the wheel after the game has started the wheel wont work at all. This is a problem when my wheel for some reason disconnects in a race (happened to me twice in about 100 races). There seems to be no other way than to restart the complete game so that the wheel works again. I know that the major problem is the wheel disconnecting evry now and then but still it is strange to me that the game doesnt accept any input from an input device that was plugged in after the game was started. Is there a way to fix this game wise?
