Batman (1996)
Continuing the excellent and under appreciated Moench/Jones run.
I’ve already droned on across multiple previous posts about why I love this run so much, so I won’t really say anything more today (or the next couple of days while this run and this series of posts comes to its conclusion), but just to reemphasise, this is a great run of Batman and very much worth your time and money, says Me.
Highlights from this particular year are the Deadman issues, which have funky gimmicky Glow In The Dark covers (I was unable to photograph them in a way that properly showed this off, but they STILL work almost 3 decades later). If you haven’t read the two Deadman 3 issue prestige minis by Mike Baron & Kelly Jones (Deadman: Love After Death and Deadman: Exorcism) then you don’t know what you’re missing. Top tier comics.
