Gallon of water a day: 75 hard
Hello! I have a question. I'm interested in starting the 75 hard challenge, which I've been wanting to do for a while now-- I know all of the rules are supposed to be difficult, and that's the point of the challenge, but I'm having a tough time specifically with the drink 1 gallon of water a day rule.
From doctors and other health professionals, I've heard the general rule of thumb is to aim for around 64 oz a day, and based on my weight, that would be about right.
In the 75 hard 'bible' I guess you could call it, Andy Frisella says that there's no point of doing the challenge if you're not going to follow all of the rules.
However, I don't really think that specific rule is sustainable for me. I'm still going to drink a lot of water (70 oz a day would be my goal based on my weight), but a gallon just seems excessive and potentially harmful (I already wake up in the middle of the night to pee a lot and I'm worried this could further affect my sleep, and then I won't be able to complete the challenge).
What are your guys' thoughts about this? Again, I would stick to every other rule and then just modify the water intake. Is it even worth doing at all if I don't follow the gallon a day challenge though?
Any input is appreciated, thank you!
