Am I wrong for doing this?

I'm applying to Oxford as an international student that even if, by the grace of the Almighty, I am accepted, will probably not attend. I do desperately want to go, but realistically, understand that with my household finances, it would be an immense burden upon my parents. Regardless, I'm almost guaranteed a spot in my country's (Australia) very good universities, so this I guess is some sort of goal or even an ego pad (or reality check) for me. Is taking an interview spot from someone that could have realistically attended for this reason wrong?
