Apartment for 1st yr uni

so basically i’m really thinking about fully moving out into my own apartment (not student halls or shared house) due to me really hating the city that i live in and wanting to have my own space away from family.

I have found an apartment for £650 a month.

My question is: is this smart to do? Obviously, I’d get a job and there’s sfe but my course does grant an extra £5k a year. So, is this stupid or doable? (I’m in 6th form currently to avoid any confusion)
